Looking up
Zola spotted the moon in the middle of the afternoon
Two o'clock, bright blue sky, and there it was — pale and thin and easy to miss, like somebody had drawn it faintly and then half rubbed it out.
Nobody else in the playground had noticed. Once Zola pointed at it, six children spent the next ten minutes looking at the sky.
That happens a lot with her. She finds the thing, and then everybody else gets to see it too.
Try it this week: Look for the daytime moon this week. It's up there more often than you'd think.
